Sharaco sings a contract of lease and operation for the king khaled International Airport hotel with the General Authority for Civil Aviation

On Monday 12th Dec 2010 (30/12/1431 Ah) the Saudi Hotels and Resorts Co. signed a ten year contract of lease and operation for the king Khaled International Airport Hotel with the General Authority for Civil Aviation. The hotel will be run by Makarim Group which is a member of Sharaco that handles the operation and management of hotels and resorts.

The Makarim Hospitality group provides high quality, professional hotel services, and employs a high number of Saudi nationals who work hard to ensure results. Makarim uses the finest systems and global technology in the hospitality industry that leads increased confidence of both customers and investors. The hotel is located near King Khaled International Airport in Riyadh and away from the noise of the city. It consists of (248) rooms and suites that have been equipped to the highest levels. The hotel also boasts distinctive restaurants, meeting rooms, banquet halls, a business center, and health club.

The signing of this contract sees the total number of projects managed by the Saudi Hotels and Resorts Co. increase to 19 properties, which rank amongst the finest and largest projects in the Kingdom. Mr. Sultan Alotaibi the general manager of Makarim group stated that by signing this contract, it is an extension of the successes of the group and the culmination of its leadership to provide superior services to its customers. He also expected that the projects will have a positive impact on increasing the revenues generated by Sharaco. Furthermore, he confirmed that Sharaco is negotiating with a number of additional hotel and residential complex owners to entrust the task of management and operation to the Makarim hospitality group. Makarim Hospitality Group is setting a time-plan for the development of the Sahara hotel and its facilities, which follows the approach of the Saudi Hotel and Resorts Company to develop the hotel and resort industry in the kingdom .
